Why do you offer a secure and non-secure choice?

Well, there are going to be some pepole who have terrible phone lines, or very slow modems. They are going to want to use JAYA123 and when it is run with HTTPS encryption (the default) it slows things down a lot. So for them, we offer the option of not having the data packets encrypted.

Most dial-up folks will find JAYA123 fast enough using the standard HTTPS encryption, and those on cable or DSL will see the screens “snap” because there are no slow-loading graphics.

But for people who live in rural areas or areas with “less than great” phone service, having a non-encrypted option will make a world of difference to them.
