Is there a downside to web applications?

We will be honest with you. Yes there are two. The number one “challange” is that you have to be connected to the web to use JAYA123. Of course, if you have DSL or cable, it’s not a problem because you ARE connected all the time. And those without cable often stay dialed up all day (We do… we’re not totally on broadband yet.)

The other consideration is that if your ISP goes down or the server goes down, you can not access your data. But think about it for a minute. How many times does your web connectivity go down, compared to how many times your desktop (or laptop) computer goes south?

We believe (because it is our experience) that using a well-engineered web application located in a top-of-the-line datacenter is far less prone to downtime than the average office or home computer.
