Auto-numbering Invoice/Customer numbers

It is often asked about whether or not there is a way to auto-number both or either of the invoice or cust. numbers.

In PUB123 lots and lots of people hated the “auto-number” method we used. They wanted to use their OWN invoice numbers (and customer
numbers as well.) So in JAYA I allowed it…. but for those who use a NUMERIC ONLY Invoice or Customer number, the system will tell you (in bold) on the data entry screen what the HIGHEST number on the file is… and all you need to do is add one to it. It does not work all that great on an ALPHA-NUMERIC invoice number or customer number.

One of the next things to add is a check-box in “Company Settings” to do an auto-add for the invoice/customer number for those who want it that way.
